Our Purpose
Welcome to Religious Liberty Update. Our purpose is to proclaim liberty to all the inhabitants of planet Earth. Ours is a message of hope. Freedom is an eternal value. When you look into the face of freedom you see the face of God, because God is the Author of liberty. Our purpose is to become knowledgeable about our most important asset - LIBERTY. We will study civil and religious freedom. We will be alert to any threats to our liberties. Our authority will be the Constitution of the United States and our Creator - God. But we cannot be satisfied with head knowledge alone; we must reach the heart also. We want to tap not only the intellect but also our human emotions. We must not just talk the talk; it is imperative that we walk the walk. What is the essence of our existence? First is "LIFE." Without life nothing else would matter. Second is "HAPPINESS." We all want peace and tranquility. We want meaning in our lives. Everybody wants to be happy. Third is "LIBERTY." We want to be free. All of these: LIFE, LIBERTY, and HAPPINESS, are found in only one place - GOD! Get a load of this next statement for confirmation. "---that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." WOW! Those are our Founding Fathers speaking. It's part of our Constitution! Here is a message of hope for our nation still vibrating from the horrific terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Here is hope for a world immersed in war, violence and poverty; hope for broken homes, broken hearts and broken bodies. That's what Religious Liberty Update is all about. "He (God) has sent me (God's Messenger) to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness the blind; to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." (Isaiah 60:1-3)
Our Mission Statement
Every person has the God-given right of liberty, both civil and religious. Government is God's agency to protect the rights of every individual. The church is God's agency to bring salvation to all mankind. These God-given rights are best exercised when church and state are separate. Any attempt to unite church and state must be vigorously opposed. Every person is entitled to freedom of conscience; to worship or not to worship, free to practice and promulgate their religious beliefs, or to change them. To oppose the union of church and state is not only the citizen's duty but is the essence of the Golden Rule---to treat others as you wish to be treated.
Issues A series of updates on specific issues related to religious liberty, such as vouchers or faith-based initiatives, etc. These have been hot issues that need our attention.

The purpose of these updates is to explore the height and depth, the length and breadth of freedom and liberty from the heart and soul of every person on Planet Earth to the very heart of God in the vast expanse of the universe.
